Windgap Tidy Towns had a great turn out for their annual community clean up on Saturday and Sunday, with some volunteers starting their own areas earlier in the week.

However, apparently everyone was not happy with almost 25km of the regional R697 and R698 roads being cleaned as another bag of cans was dumped between Seskin and Coolagh with a black bag of aero board packing between Coolagh and Callan.

Just after the link work was complete a Red Bull can appeared close to an over-the-ditch litter black spot at the cross at the Glen.

The main areas de-littered were from, Seskin Lane on the R698 through Windgap to Lamogue Cross, from Lamogue Cross via Meallaghmore and back to Windgap and from Kildrummy to Butlerswood.

With part of the R698 cleared from Skough to Lamogue Cross the previous week and from Seskin lane via Coolagh to Callan three weeks earlier the bit in the middle was decorated by a continuance of dumped glass bottles and the whole array of fast food and drinks waste.
