A temporary road closure in Kilkenny City is likely to lead to delays for many local commuters from today (Tuesday) until Thursday.
Due to essential road resurfacing works, the R886 (Greens Bridge/Green Street/Troys Gate/Bishops Hill) will be closed to vehicular traffic from Junction L2647 (Grange Road) to Junction R693 (Vicar Street) & R886 (New Road) from Tuesday to Thursday from 7am to 7pm.
Local diversions shall be in operation and signposted.
In so far as practical, local access will be facilitated but is likely to be subject to delays.
This work is weather-dependent so may be cancelled if weather conditions are not considered to be favourable.
