Danish retail giant Jysk have confirmed to Kilkenny Live that they will be opening their new retail unit in Kilkenny in 2024.
The company are confident of opening next year but are yet to confirm an exact opening date.
Jysk recently received planning permission to conduct alterations to Unit 4 of Kilkenny Retail and Business Park at Springhill.
These plans include the construction of a new first floor mezzanine retail space.
They are also expected to undertake internal alterations including the provision of storage/stock room, internal lift, circulation and escape stairs.
Jysk is the largest Danish retailer operating internationally with over 3,100 stores in 51 countries.
The company's many outlets sell furniture and fixtures for the home and outdoors.
