Port of Waterford is situated at Belview, County Kilkenny
Port of Waterford company have submitted plans for further development to Kilkenny County Council.
Planned for the port is a laydown/transportation yard designed to accommodate the storage of shipping containers, along with a container repair area.
The facility will also include parking for articulated truck trailers, a designated safe zone where hauliers can cover bulk trailers away from the main road/hard shoulder, site lighting, and supplementary office and welfare amenities.
The application is the pre-validation stage with Kilkenny County Council.
