Launching the Rotary Remembrance Tree appeal
If you're out and about in Kilkenny in the coming days keep an eye out for the annual Rotary Remembrance Tree charity appeal.
The annual Christmas fundraiser will this year be in aid of Cois Nore and Carlow Kilkenny Homecare, with 10% of funds raised also going to the Rotary Foundation charities. Rotary volunteers will be collecting at Eurospar Newpark on December 21 and 22, and at SuperValu Loughboy on December 21, 22, 23.
The appeal was launched earlier this month by Mayor Joe Malone and members of the Loreto Secondary School Interact Club, at the Town Hall (pictured above).
The appeal is also supported by UPMC again this year. The appeal was launched at a special ceremony in Aut Even (pictured below).
