Let’s Go Fly A Kite for Gaza, is an event to remember the children who have been killed, injured, displaced and orphaned in the ongoing genocide in Gaza which will take place in Kilkenny this weekend.
South-East Irish Palestine Solidarity Campaign member Aoife O’Brien said:
“Flying kites has been part of Palestinian culture for a long time. The Israeli government have been clamping down on the practice for many years, stating security concerns. Flying a kite has become an act of resistance. We are organising this events in Solidarity with Palestine.”
A Kilkenny Palestine rally will take place at the Castle Park at 12 on Sunday.
Flags and banners welcome. A kite making workshop will take place immediately prior to the event.
