Tirlán CountryLife is proud to champion the 13 Postcard Gardens featured at this year’s Bloom Garden Festival - including one from Kilkenny!
The Postcard Gardens, small, but perfectly-formed 2m x 3m plots, are designed and created by amateur gardeners from community groups, schools, charitable organisations and garden clubs.
The petite spaces give these groups the chance to tell their stories and showcase creative talents through innovative and vibrant garden design.
This year’s entries include a garden designed by the Ballyfoyle Community Group, which is committed to caring for the environment.
It will be replanted in Ballyfoyle’s Memorial Garden after the festival.
The garden is inspired by the surrounding landscape and local history of Ballyfoyle. Each Postcard Garden enables the gardening or community group to promote the benefits of green spaces in their local community and foster connections during the festival.
“The sponsorship of the Postcard Gardens at Bloom is a perfect example of Tirlan CountryLife’s commitment to supporting and celebrating individual communities,” said Senan Foley, Head of Retail at Tirlán.
“Our network of 15 garden centres all operate in the heart of rural communities where our team of horticultural experts, quality plants and value help spread the magic and benefits of gardening to groups of all ages throughout Ireland.”
Tirlán CountryLife has an exciting programme of activities over the festival including: The opportunity to win a community garden worth €2000 and a panel discussion on community gardens on the main stage.
There will also be a kids activity to help plant a flower wall which will be donated back to Laura Lynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.
Goodies and giveaways can be found in the Tirlán CountryLife tent.
