The Bells of St Mary’s was a 1946 musical film which starred the legendary Hollywood actor Bing Crosby.
In Kilkenny, Cathedral Administrator of St Mary's Fr Dermot hopes to have the bells at St Mary’s ringing out once again very soon for the people of the city.
Work is underway to clear away years of rust and decay at present to repair the bells to their former pristine state.
Work is also required on the control panel.
