Despite the rain, great crowds turned out for the annual Good Friday Walk from St John's Church to the Friary Church.
The annual tradition continues to draw people of all backgrounds, with many joining along the route in a powerful expression of faith and unity.
Participants from the Ukrainian, Indian, Polish, and Filipino communities took part in this year’s walk, taking turns to carry the cross along the way. The walk was led by Bishop Niall Coll and Fr Willie Purcell, and concluded at the Friary Church, where the newly formed Taizé choir provided reflective and inspiring music.
“Despite the inclement weather, over two hundred people joined the walk,” said Fr Willie Purcell. “We extend our thanks to An Garda Síochána for their presence and support with traffic control, which helped ensure the safety of everyone involved.”
The Good Friday Walk remains a cherished event, bringing the community together in prayer, remembrance, and solidarity. READ NEXT: WE REVEAL KILKENNY' BEST 99
