A presentation was made on Saturday after Mass in St Kieran’s Church to Angela O’Brien, who retired earlier this year after being sacristan at the church for the past 25 years.
She gave excellent service to the church and all its services, for which she was greatly appreciated. She is wished all the best in her retirement.

A presentation was also given from the parishioners to Fr Ollie Maher, who has been parish priest for the past six years and is now being transferred to Ballyragget. He will be greatly missed and is wished well in his new placement.
Fr Ollie thanked all for the kindness, support and generosity shown to him by all. He acknowledged the community spirit and the faith that has been shared. He was very grateful to have shared it all and is sad to leave.
