Demand for Hygiene Hub services in Kilkenny greater than ever - can you help?

Ireland’s National Hygiene Week marks five years of Hygiene Hub - but demand for their services is greater than ever

Hygiene Hub Kilkenny and Kilkenny Volunteer Centre have developed a fantastic working relationship; supporting one another in the promotion and growth of each group’s activities. This unique partnership has reached as far as Kilkenny College where Kilkenny Volunteer Centre facilitated the Hub becoming involved in this year’s transition year curriculum, developed  to create awareness of local volunteering initiatives among the school. 

The Kilkenny Volunteer Centre host act as a ‘drop off point’ for donations of personal and household hygiene products, these donations are shared by our volunteers to charities and community groups in Kilkenny.  

Hygiene Hub is extremely thankful for the support of all local volunteer centres, and is especially proud of the work being undertaken in Kilkenny.  

Since the establishment of the Kilkenny Hub in late 2023, 555kg has been donated throughout Kilkenny. 

8 Drop Off Points, Supporting 3 Community Partners, with 2 Community Partners on their waiting list.
