a Carrick-On-Suir man was last week presented with a Level 9 Certificate in Business and Agriculture at a graduation ceremony in Limerick Institute of Technology.
Patrick Walsh was presented with his certificate by Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Simon Coveney, along with other members of the Agricultural Consultants Association (ACA).
In a new course specifically developed by Limerick Institute of Technology for ACA, the modules included financial accounting, agricultural law and taxation and the qualification will be in addition to their current degree level qualifications and forms part of the up skilling and Continuous Professional Development Programme for ACA.
“It’s a tremendous honour for members and the course will greatly assist them in providing additional professional services to their farmer clients,” said President of ACA, Mike Brady.
“the members have combined both their studies and running their own businesses the past three years and are duly rewarded for their hard work with their qualification today’. With huge opportunities for Irish farmers over the next decade, this course will give you the additional tools to help your clients achieve the targets discussed here today by Minister Coveney.”
