Delight as Kilkenny heroes bring home medals from European Championships

Robbie and Fionn from the Down Syndrome Kilkenny branch are on cloud nine this week after competing in the European Down Syndrome Swimming Championships in Portugal.

Robbie brought home a haul of five medals including gold (Details Below).

Meanwhile, Fionn won a bronze medal in the 4x200m Freestyle Relay in his first European Championships.

"What a way to make a debut — bringing home a medal and making everyone so proud," Down Syndrome Kilkenny posted to social media.

"We’re so proud of their hard work, dedication, and team spirit, representing our community on the European stage!"
