Good wishes have been sent from near and far to the the Very Reverend Fr Liam Barron who has announced his 'semi retirement' as Parish Priest in the Mullinavat area.
A special Mass to mark Fr Barron's contribution to the community in St Beacon’s Church at 7.30pm on Saturday evening.
"Everyone is welcome to come and give thanks and to celebrate this milestone in his ministry," a Mullinavat GAA post read.
"Fr. Barron will continue to reside in Mullinavat as Pastor Emeritus," they added.
