The search is underway to find the 2026 Kilkenny Rose! Young women from all over the county are invited to apply online ahead of the Kilkenny Rose Selection 2026, which will take place on Saturday, April 4, at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel.
Rose of Tralee, Katelyn Cummins, joined 2024 Kilkenny Rose Lisa O’Rourke and Colin Ahearn, GM of the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, to launch the search. The hotel has been home for the Kilkenny Rose selections for many years.
Lyn Moloney, Rose Co-ordinator, said: “The Rose of Tralee International Festival is the most incredible experience, and I would encourage as many young women as possible to take part and become their local Rose. I guarantee them they will make incredible friends and have an amazing experience.
"Many people think that the Rose of Tralee festival is just a week-long festival and they don’t realise that the Roses and Rose Escorts have so many incredible experiences throughout the whole year. All I can say to any young woman is to ‘go for it and apply!"
Organisers invite GAA, Camogie Clubs, Societies, Groups and Businesses to nominate a representative from their respective Communities to take part in one of Kilkenny's flagship events. The Kilkenny Rose Centre would be delighted should any club, society or businesses consider sponsoring an entrant for the 2026 Kilkenny Rose Selection.
As an Kilkenny Rose entrant sponsor there are several ways that your company/organisation can benefit from supporting a Kilkenny Rose entrant:
Your sponsor’s name will appear on your entrant’s sash which is worn at all official
Kilkenny Rose events that take place throughout the county
Your sponsor’s name will appear on our screens throughout the selection evening on April 4.
Your sponsor’s name will be included on all our Social Media Platforms.
Your organisation will be associated with the Rose of Tralee International Festival,
one of Ireland’s largest and longest running festivals, connecting the worldwide Irish
diaspora.
