Cllr Eugene McGuinness is a new peace commissioner for Kilkenny
A Kilkenny councillor has been appointed as a Peace Commissioner by Minister of State Niall Collins TD.
Cllr Eugene Mc Guinness said he was delighted with the appointment.
“I am delighted to see that my hard work in Kilkenny as a Councillor has been recognised by the Minister, considering as an independent, I fall outside the broader circles of the main political parties. This appointment will allow me to offer a much more comprehensive service to my constituents”.
