A charity event in aid of Amber Women's Refuge hosted by Kilkenny Hockey Club took place on International Women's Day.
The afternoon tea event saw a panel of guest speakers in discussion at Langton's Hotel.
Among those in attendance were a group of students from Presentation Secondary School Kilkenny, with their design Rosettes Reimagined. The team are competing this week at the Junk Kouture Regional Finals at The Helix.
The unique design is created from horse-riding rosettes collected from different horse-riding families. The team carefully transformed and manipulated these rosettes to form a Victorian-style dress, giving new life to materials that normally symbolise competition and achievement.

The main message behind Rosettes Reimagined is about winning in life. Red rosettes traditionally represent first place, symbolising success, determination, and the pursuit of goals.
The dress also features a lift-up underpiece, revealing a hidden garden-inspired design made entirely from rosettes. This blooming display represents growth, showing that success can flourish through dedication, creativity, and passion.
