The Garda Youth Awards will take place on May 20
Nominations are now open for the annual garda youth awards which celebrate the young people in Kilkenny communities who go the extra mile to enhance the lives of others.
These awards celebrate young people who are unsung heroes and are aged from 13 to 21 years old and who make a real difference in the lives of their families, friends, and communities.
Nominations are open for applications in the following categories: Individual Award, Group Award and Special Achievement Award.
Organisers are looking for nominations of young role models who contribute quietly and without seeking recognition.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge their positive impact. If you know a young person who deserves to be honoured, please consider putting their name forward,” said an event organiser.
The nominations close on April 30 and the awards ceremony will take place on May 20 at the Tower Hotel in Waterford City.
