A local woman marked a milestone birthday this week, celebrating the special occasion alongside friends and neighbours.
Well-wishes poured in on social media as the community came together to share their birthday greetings and messages of support.
"Wishing Maime a happy 96th birthday today. Best wishes from Helena, puss puss, sooty and foxy and all her neighbours in Rossenany Court and the local Windgap Community," a post to the Windgap Kilkenny Facebook page read.
"Wishing you a very happy birthday Mamie sending lots of love and thinking of you," one well-wisher wrote.
"Happy birthday, Maime, great lady enjoy your day," another post wrote.
