SCHOOLS WIN - Top Oil Roinn C Championship. Danesfort were out for revenge after a cruel defeat at the hands of Lisdowney a few weeks ago and started well going up 3 points in 5 minutes before Lisdowney settled, but the next 15 minutes was Lisdowney go ahead scoring 2 placed balls and a goal to a point for Danesfort. Lisdowney had a lot of play then for the remainder of the half but were plagued by wides; they did manage another 2 points before the half time whistle 1:4 to 0:4.
The second half was definitely all Lisdowney but the scoring was low as they continued to shoot off target claiming only 2 points from play as well as 2 frees, while all Danesfort’s 4 scores came directly from frees. Final score 1:8 to 1:7 for Lisdowney.
