TUESDAY CLUB - Urlingford Tuesday Club for the elderly will recommence on Tuesday, September 11 at 2pm as usual in the center. Beginning of the year Mass will be celebrated by Canon Dunphy. Chiropodist Eileen Morrissey will be in attendance on Tuesday, September 1

ADORATION - As next Friday is the first Friday of September, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be in Urlingford Church from 2.30 to 5.30pm. You are invited to come along and spend some time in quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament on Friday afternoon.

MASS TIMES - For All-Ireland final weekend, September 8 and 9: Urlingford Saturday 7pm; NO 11.30am Mass on Sunday to facilitate those going to the match. Graine Sunday 10am as usual.

THE BIBLE TIMELINE - (Story of Salvation). A 24-week DVD (with study notes) Bible Study course will commence in Urlingford towards the end of September and will finish at Easter 2013. Once a week at the venue (to be decided as well as cost) and one night at home. It will cover the Old and New Testaments and is divided into 12 colour-coded time periods to simplify it. Once we get a grasp of the ‘big picture’ the Mass readings begin to make more sense and our scripture reading and study come to life. To commemorate the opening of the Council, the Dioceses of Ossory and Waterford and Lismore are offering an opportunity, over four gatherings, to explore the responsibility we all have within our Church communities. MILL FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE - Horticulture Course: The Mill Family Resource Centre is holding an Information Morning on Thursday, September 13 at 10am. If you are interested in doing a Horticulture course, two mornings a week, Fetac Level 4, please come along and sign up. Empowering Parents Training Programme: Are you the parent of a disabled child, would you like to meet with a group in a similar situation and learn to be a more effective voice for your child? The Centre will host an Empowering parents training course in partnership with DESSA The programme will run over a 6 week period, one day a week and seeks to support Parents to acquire the knowledge and skills to effectively advocate on behalf of their child. The programme is suitable for parents of children under 12 who have any form of impairment. It is local and free of charge and will offer you information and advice which will help you see things differently and to find ways of getting what you and your child need. You will be with parents who are in a similar situation to you so there will be lots of opportunity for getting and giving real support. This programme will commence on September 28.
