BADMINTON NOTES-A big thank you to everybody who supported the Badminton Club Quiz night held last Friday night in Mooneys.
The night was a huge success with a great turnout from far and near. A total of 25 teams took part on the night and with everything running so smoothly this could be an annual event. Quiz master for the night was Tomas Breathnach from Kilmacow who has a mountain of experience in this field. The questions were very fair and this reflected in the high scoring. One or two sticklers sorted out the men from the boys with the winning score being 59 out of 60. The winners on the night were Tommy Farrell, Breda Farrell, Rose Power, and Aiden Power. The club also held a raffle during the night which was a great success as well. Lots of winners and everybody fed and watered with cocktail sausages and nuggets. So a good night and great credit to the club for their efficient organisation.
