COUNTRY and Western fans in the area tuned in to the Country Show on Sky TV last week and were delighted to see Eamonn Hayes presenting the programme. Eamonn is a native of Bennettsbridge, formerly from The Ring and the weekly show is attracting a great deal of local interest. During the show, Eamonn sang a few numbers including “Send me the pillow that you dream on”.

COLLECTION - The deferred collection in aid of The Kilkenny Branch of Multiple Sclerosis will take place this weekend in Bennettsbridge. Tullaherin collection for MS was taken up on Saturday, 23rd March and realised over €100.00 and this is much appreciated.

ART GROUP - This week’s session will be held in the Community Centre on Wednesday (tonight) 7 – 9pm. This will be the final session in the present course.
LADIES CLUB - There will be a meeting of the Ladies Club this Thursday in the Community Centre at 8.30pm. A decision will be made regarding the weekend away. A trip to Belfast, taking in the Titantic experience is being considered and a date has to be finalised.
