KILKENNY CASTLE SPRING SERIES - Following last years success, Gowran Athletic Club are organising a series of 3 races in consecutive Sundays.
The first of 3 races commences next Sunday 7th April with further races on Sunday week 14th April before the series concludes on Sunday week 21st April.
Next Sunday’s race will be a 2KM run, before a 3KM run on Sunday week completes the second part of a trilogy of races.
Finally, a 5KM run will complete proceedings on Sunday 21st April.
The main idea is to encourage people of all ages to get active.
You can walk, jog or even push a buggy.
Registration will take place on the three outside the Castle gates from 10.15am.
It costs €5 for adults while it’s €2 for Under-16s or younger, and €10 for a family to enter.
All finishes of 5KM event will receive a commemorative medal.

YOUNG IRELANDS GAA CLUB LOTTO - The Numbers drawn for last weeks Lotto were 2, 14, 18, and 22.
No Jackpot winner and next weeks Jackpot is worth €8,850.

YOUNG HURLERS GO IN SEARCH OF SCHOOLS ALL-IRELAND GLORY - Best wishes to both JP Treacy and Paul Delahunty who are part of the Kilkenny CBS that go in search of All-Ireland glory this coming Saturday.
Kilkenny CBS play Dungarvan Colleges in the All-Ireland Senior Colleges Hurling Final this coming Saturday afternoon in Semple Stadium, Thurles with a 3.15pm throw-in.
The CBS school have only won the All-Ireland once back in 1981, and they will be hoping to make amends for last years final heartache where they lost out by two points to Nenagh CBS.
Both JP and Paul have played their part in helping the school reach the All-Ireland decider.
JP scored two points from long distance frees in the Leinster final victory over St. Kierans College, and he will be hoping to have made a full recovery from the injury which saw him ruled out of their All-Ireland semi-final victory over the Mercy Colleges of Galway.
Paul Delahunty is certain to start in attack, and he contributed a point from play in both the Leinster final and All-Ireland semi-final victories.
GOWRAN PARK STAGES TWO DAY MEETING - Next Monday and Tuesday on the 8th and 9th April, Gowran Park racecourse will stage a two day meeting.
On Monday a 7 race all flat card which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday has been brought forward a day to Monday, with the first race commencing at 2.15pm.
Meanwhile, the following day will the re-arranged Kilkenny Hurlers Race Day which was cancelled on Saturday March 23rd go ahead.
The first of 7 races on an all National Hunt card will commence at 4.20pm with the last race starting at 7.20pm.
YOGA FOR ALL - The Yoga starts back Tuesday 9th April from 10.30am 8 weeks in the Goresbridge Community Centre
Yoga is truly a gift for maximum health of body, mind & spirit.
Also a special “yoga of the heart” course will be starting next Tuesday from 12noon, aiming at people who are recovering from illness and for those who have a desire to feel healthier and happier.
