Girls Gaelic Football - Piltown Girls Gaelic Football Club invites girls born between 1995 and 2002 to join them if there is no club in their own area. Youth 2000 - Youth 2000 Ireland will be hosting a youth retreat in Castlecomer Community School, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny from Friday 19th. to Sunday April 21, 2013. The weekend will consist of workshops, drama, inspirational talks, testimonies, prayer, music, games and plenty of chill out time. Retreat starts with registration on Friday at 8pm. This is a great opportunity to find out what your faith is all about in a friendly, chilled out atmosphere. For young people aged 16-35, Under 18s must download booking form on website. Please feel free to drop into the retreat at anytime over the weekend & bring a sleeping bag if you choose to avail of accommodation. Cost is donation only.

Karate Classes - Karate Classes for children in Stoneyford Community Hall every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 4:15pm Classes are open to all boys and girls, ages 4 years to 12 years old. Classes will start on Tuesday April 9. All will be taught basic self defence and karate techniques. Their will also be an emphasis on physical fitness. Classes will be conducted in a manner suitable for young people. All classes taught by black belt Instructors. Karate training offers many benefits including increased fitness and flexibility, improved co-ordination and concentration to mention just a few. Free Electrical Recycling Day - This will take place at Stoneyford Community Centre on Tuesday 9th. April from 9am to 12 Noon. Any household items with a plug or battery accepted! Please do not leave electrical items at the location before or after the designated time as this will be treated as illegal dumping.

Free Taster Workshops - skills for employment and/or further education: Co. Kilkenny VEC are hosting a series of Free Half-Day Workshops on Tuesday’s from 9.30am. to 1.30pm over a six week period in May and June 2013. Venues will include Callan, Urlingford, Kilkenny City and Ferrybank. These workshops are aimed in the first instance at young adults in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance/Benefit and/or those who finished their education before completing the Leaving and/or Junior Certificate (or equivalent).
