GOWRAN MONTESSORI PRESCHOOL AND AFTERSCHOOL
This coming September their will be a Montessori Preschool and Afterschool in Gowran.
The school will cater for children from aged 2 ½ upwards, and every child with the utmost respect will be given freedom within the limits of a carefully structured environment, and they will be allowed developed naturally at their own pace under the guidance of all fully qualified, experienced and caring staff.
The schools’s bright and modern rooms will provide the children with a safe recreational environment in which to play, learn and unwind and also provide them with a range of experiences that will stimulate their love of learning and discovery.
The school’s Montessori Method of Education will combine Aistear (The Early Childhood Curriculum Framework) and Siolta (The National quality Framework for Childhood Education).

LISTOWEL PHOTO FINISH SUCCESS FOR DANNY
Danny Mullins has been in a rich vein of form in recent months, and last week on the Bank Holiday Monday, he enjoyed further success in Listowel.
Danny was aboard 25/1 shot Bangonform in the 3 miles John Joe Galvin Hanidcap Hurdle, and he emerged victorious following a pulsating finish.
Held up most of the way, Bangonform loomed closer to the lead, and he was travelling strongly entering the home straight.
However, Define came in pursuit, and he was the victors main challenger after the 2nd last flight.
The two horse battled it out to scrap and Define appeared to be travelling the better following the final flight.
However, Danny displayed the most resilience of determination in abundance, and Bangonform kept battling away as he passed the finishing line in a tight duel with define.
Following the judge’s verdict, Bangonform was declared the winner to land the €11,700 euro’s purse 1srt prize.
LADIES DAY COMING TO GOWRAN PARK
Next Sunday week in Gowran Park, (Sunday 23rd June) is Ladies Day, as an all National Hunt Card takes place.
It promises to be such a glamorous occasion and Littlewoods Ireland have been confirmed as sponsors for the day.

LEINSTER SUCCESS FOR LOCAL ATHLETES
Gowran Athletic Club enjoyed success at the recent Leinster Senior, Masters and Under-23 Track and Field Championships in Tullamore.
Marty Kelly finished 3rd in the Masters 400 metres, while he finished 4th in the 800 metres.
Anne Doyle won two bronze medals in the Senior 400 metres and Shot Putt, while there was a bronze medal for Emmet McAviney in the Mens Shot Putt.
Meanwhile, Sophie Parkinson added to her double gold success in the Leinster Schools with further success at the All-Ireland Championships.
Sophie representing Kilkenny College took home gold in the Discus while she added a bronze medal in the Shot Putt.
YOUNG IRELANDS GAA CLUB LOTTO
The numbers drawn in last weeks Lotto draw were 3, 11, 17 and 23.
There was no Jackpot winner and the 7 match 3 winners worth €50 each were Gemma Carter, Mary Breen, John O’Donnell, Jamie O’Mahoney, Seamus Murphy, Anne Cahill, and Tom O’Grady
This weeks Jackpot was worth €10, 350.
