The Family Field Day takes place on Sunday 25th August from 2pm in Grennan. If you can help out on the day please contact any Committee member. Donations to the bottle stall, wheel of fortune or bric-a-brac stall can be left at the Club any evening.


Thomastown United’s Season didn’t get off to the best of starts when they travelled to Kilkenny City to take on Freebooters last Sunday. A goal down and a missed penalty before the break and 2 more goals in the second half seen Thomastown come away on the wrong side of a 3-0 defeat. Thomastown will not gather themselves and welcome Newpark Friday evening at 6.45pm in United Park. All support greatly appreciated

Thomastown United’s Annual Summer Camp for kids aged 7 to 15 years old took place last week in United Park. Due to the help and sponsorship from Supervalu, Thomastown ran a very successful camp and had over 85 kids attending.

On Friday of last week Thomastown United held the end of season BBQ also in United Park for all our Schoolboys & Schoolgirls teams. Congrats to all the Players of the Year and all the most dedicated players who won trophies. again a special thanks goes to Supervalu, Thomastown who kindly sponsored the event.


Over the last six months the concert hall built in 1910 has been restored through out in great detail so as to ensure it stands and serves the community for decades to come. Names like, the late Kathleen Lindsay buried at Killeen in the Mount Juliet State in 1953, James Ryan a popular merchant in the town at the time were to the fore to ensure Thomastown had a public meeting hall for all occasions. In fifteen days phase one will be completed with a spend of two hundred and seventy seven thousand. Two hundred thousand of this was funded by Kilkenny Leader Partnership. We feel the time is right to ask you for a greater response into the run in for completion of phase one. Thomastown is the next largest town to Kilkenny city. This facility will be something we can be all proud of as Thomastown people.
