U10s Camogie Blitz-On Saturday last as the sun beamed down on the Tullaroan sports grounds the U10s camogie blitz took place. This turned out to be a very successful morning hosted by the Tullaroan camogie club with teams from Ballyragget, St. Martin’s, O’Loughlin Gaels and Tullaroan taking part. A sincere thanks to all those who helped in any way to make this day such a success.
Playground-.An open meeting will take place on Wednedsay the 18th July at 8.30 in the community centre for all those interested in the proposed playground at the Tullaroan sports grounds.
BBQ-After the success of the BBQ held at the Tullaroan sports grounds last year the BBQ is returning on the Sunday the 5th August. There is great interest in this year’s BBQ so get your tickets early from any member of the committee.
Famine 1848 Walk-The annual walk takes place in Ballingarry on Saturday 28th July at 3pm, commencing at the Flag Monument in the Village of the Commons and concluding at the Famine Warhouse, the state national heritage site. The walk which covers a distance of one and a half miles commemorates all those who died during the great famine and the 1848 rising which took place in Ballingarry, Co. Tipperary.
Hurling-The Tullaroan junior hurling team went under to James Stephen’s in the J.J. Kavanagh Junior Hurling Championship match held at the James Stephen’s sports grounds on Saturday last.
Irish Camp-The annual Irish Camp will be run at Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown from Monday 16th July to Friday 20th July commencing at 9.30am to 1.30pm. For further information please contact the school office on 0568831135.
Golf Classic-Tullaroan Hurling Club Golf Classic will take place on Thursday and Friday 26th and 27th July in Rathdowney Golf Club.
