Bereavement-The untimely death occurred of Pat Bourke,St Annes Tce., Gortnahoe on Monday July 2nd. Pat is deeply regretted by his heart broken wife,Joan,his loving son Danny,daughters Helena,Anne and Patricia,father,brothers,sister,grandchildren,aunt, uncles,nephews,nieces relatives and friends. Pat was reposing at his home on Wednesday with removal to The Sacred Heart Church on Thursday for Requiim Mass,his burial took place in Good Shepherd cemetery. May he rest in peace.
Famine 1848 Walk -28th July at 3pm: This annual walk takes place in Ballingarry Saturday July 28th at 3pm. commencing at the National Flag Monument in the village of The Commons and the walk concludes at the Famine Warhouse, The walk covers a distance of one and a half miles and commemorates all those who died during the Great Famine and the 1848 rising which took place in Ballingarry in the middle of the Famine. This year the walk will be led by Fr. Derry Quirke, Parish Priest of Ballingarry. Refreshments will be served. Alll are welcome.
Death-The death occurred of Michael Joseph (Joe) Tobin, Blackcommon,The Commons,Thurles formerlly of Williamstown, The Commons and England,peacefully,on Friday July 6th 2012 at South Tipperary General Hospital,pre-deceased by his wife Bridie and daughter Ann; deeply regretted by his brother Jimmy,nephews,nieces,brothers-in-law,grand nieces,grand nephews,great grand nieces,great grand nephews,relatives and friends. Removal took place from Molloys funeral home,Callan on Sunday to The Sacred Heart Church,Gortnahoe ,Requim Mass was on Monday followed by burial in Tullaroan cemetery. May he rest in peace.
