Mooncoin Family Funday 2012-Another successful family fun day was held in the parish last Sunday. Highlights included the local Zumba Dancers, Set Dancers & the Kick boxers. Also the Talent Show, Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Stephen & his Puppet and Magic Show, Bouncy castle & obstacle course, face painting & nail art.
The organising committee M.D.A.P.P. ( Mooncoin Drugs Awareness Parish Programme) would like to thank the following volunteers for their help on the day.

Mooncoin Bridge club-The club finished another successful season with a summer party. Play will continue on an informal basis on Wednesday nights in Comerfords Lounge, Mooncoin at 8pm until the club resumes in September. Presently there are over 40 members and apart from the regular games, there are special competitions with prizes such as Presidents night, club championship and Christmas party. The winners of the recent competition were 1st Mary Hogan & Catherine Hogan, 2nd Anne Grant & Bridget Rochford, 3rd Joan Hennegan & Kitty Kinsella. Prizes included plants, gardening boxes, with something for everyone. Anyone wishing to join the club may contact the president Marie Hogan 895282 or secretary Margaret Godhino 895358.
Cemetery Mass-The annual cemetery mass in the old cemetery Chapel Street, Mooncoin was celebrated last week by Fr. Peter Muldowney P.P. with Fr. Frank assisting. As usual a large number turned out for the mass and the weather was kind.
Irish cancer Society-The Irish Cancer Society would like to thank those that collected and supported the Church Gate collection in Mooncoin recently when a total of €762.00 was collected.
