Kilmacow Schoolboys’ Soccer-UNDER 14-Ferrybank 2 Kilmacow 4 This was another fine display by our Under 14 squad as they gained a vital victory away to Ferrybank. They led 3-0 before the home side fought back to make it 3-2. A fourth goal before the end settled the issue. Evan Duggan took the goalscoring honours with a super hat trick. Rory Leech scored the other goal.

UNDER 12:This was a badly needed match for this squad and it resulted in a valuable three points. Darragh McDonald led the way scoring four goals. Dean Scully added two more. Conor Lyons, Brian O’Mara, skipper Patrick Dollard and Brandon Walsh also found the net.

Under 8&9:The first of this season’s Under 8 & 9 fixtures took place last Saturday. We welcomed Piltown to the Complex for two matches. A big crowd saw it end honours even with a victory apiece. Our lads won the U9 match with the U8 win going to the Piltown boys. There was a sense of great excitement on the top field for the matches. Sean Dowling was a hat trick hero for the U9s. Ciaran Murray also scored. Sean Sheridan scored for the U8s. Most of these young boys were playing for the first time and they will get better and better with each game they play.

Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes-The annual Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place form the 22nd to the 27th May. The cost per person sharing is €735. Anyone interested in participating in the pilgrimage should contact the Parish Office in Glenmore at 880414.
Community Gym in Kilmacow-Work is continuing on the upgrade of the Community Gym in Kilmacow. It is open to members from 8.30am until the Hall closes at night. New members are welcome and facilities can be used on a pay as you go basis.
Unwanted Christmas presents-The Thursday Club in Rosedale would welcome any unwanted Christmas presents as they can be used at prizes in the games held as part of the activities provided by the club. A dedicated box has been left in the Daybreak shop in the Upper Street for this purpose.
Bocce Club-The Bocce club is continuing every Thursday in the Community Centre in Kilmacow from 2.30pm. New members are welcome to join in the games (a form of bowls).
Table quiz-Mullinavat Harriers will host a table quiz in Irish’s, Ballykeoghan on Friday, 8th March. All support welcome.
Kilmacow Lotto-The winning numbers in last week’s lotto were 2, 4, 21 and 27. There were three Match 3 winners. The Jackpot for next week is €12,600.
