St. Martin’s Juvenile Camogie - Patrick Mullaney, Regional Development Coordinator for south Leinster Camogie Association will be hosting a workshop designed to give new coaches the basic skills needed for them to coach club players proficiently. This free workshop will be held in St.Patricks GAA complex, Ballyragget on Tuesday the 12th of March at 7.30pm..
Clubs across the country are struggling to get parents involved with the teams. Some parents feel they might not have the necessary skills to coach so this is why the county board have asked Patrick to hold this workshop.
On the night Patrick will cover the topic of “coaching” the 6 basic skills of the game and also demonstrate how the FUNDAMENTALS of the game can be used in a Nursery programme. Patrick will also show coaches the benefits of using the IDEAL model when working with teams. There will be an element of practical work in the session so please arrive in tracksuit and runners.

Juniors lose out - Muckalee Junior footballers lost out Tullogher Rosbercon in the Championship after putting in a determined effort ,the venue was Thomastown. Tullogher Rosbercon started well and led 1-2 to no score after ten minutes and went on to lead at the break 1-6 to 0-3. A much improved Muckalee cut into that lead to get within two points of the men from the south of the County with goals from Damien Tynan with the assist from Damien Egan and Noel Darcy with the assist from Michael Mulhall .In the end the Tullogher Rosbercon lads rallied to win on the score 3-9 to 2-7.Jason Shore started in goal ,his first game for the club at this level and did well.
