Deja Vu Charity Shop in Main Street Bagenalstown supports the Bagenalstown Family Resource Centre, and are calling on the general public, to get in and carry out your spring cleaning early! They accept good quality clothing for men, women and children, household bric-a-brac, so if you have any of the above and wish to donate them, the Centre would be delighted to take them off your hands. You can drop them into the shop between 10am and 4pm or alternatively drop them down to the Centre between 9.30am and 5pm.

MEN’S SHED -Bagenalstown Men’s Shed have their Garden Accessorise Enterprise up and running and will be at the Country Market on Saturday mornings at St, Marys, Church Road, from 9am to 1pm. ICA - The next monthly meeting of Leighlinbridge ICA takes place on Thursday, February 7th in the Community Centre. New members are always welcome. The Guild has now started basket making which is funded by the VEC.

SEVENTH ANNUAL NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP 2013 - The seventh annual Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help will commence on Tuesday, February 12, in St. Andrew’s Parish Church – 9 weeks period of prayer and personal petitions will be prayed for. A warm welcome awaits you if you partake in the fantastic journey over the nine weeks starting on February 12th at 7 pm.

BALINKILLEN CAMOGIE CLUB - Ballinkillen Camogie Club will hold their annual registration on Wednesday. Feb. 13 7-8pm at Ballinkillen Community Centre. Indoor training resumes for under 6, 8, 10 and 12 on Tuesday. Feb. 26 with under 6 and 8 from 6.15pm -7.15pm and under 10 and 12 from 7.15pm to 8.15pm.
DAWN MASS -The fifth annual Dawn Mass will be celebrated at 6am on Easter Sunday, 31st March on Mt. Leinster at the “Nine Stones” area. Please feel most welcome to participate in this memorable

ST. LAZERIAN’S FUNDRAISING CONCERT. - “ Songs from the Musicals”

Please note that there is a change of venue from St.Andrew’s Church to Muine Bheag Vocational School Hall on Friday,March 8th at 7.30 pm.

The concert will feature songs from Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Oklahoma, Sound of Music, Calamity Jane, Mama Mia and many more. ~Tickets €10 adults. €5 children, available from Marian Manning or St. Lazerian’s House. Refreshments will be served in the hall after the concert.

VISUAL ART PROJECT - Carlow Regional Youth Services are doing a visual art project to celebrate 2 years of service. Project runs Jan - June 2013. All young people 12-18 welcome. SENIOR MONITORED ALARM SCHEME - Bagenalstown Family Resource Centre is working with the Department to make grants available for monitored alarms to be installed in homes of people

over the age of 65 years of age. If approved the initial installation fee of €250.00 will be covered and then you only have to pay a monitoring fee to the alarm company for €67.50 in a once off fee, if you choose to pay quarterly the cost will be €22.50 which amounts to €90.00 for the year. BAGENALSTOWN MEN’S SHED - is busy, busy , busy, opened from 10am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday! Their first project is a mini enterprise where they are buildng hand crafted garden furniture which will be available for sale. The Men’s Shed is currently working on wood crafted bird houses and you can get your hands on these lovely garden features for only €15.00. The garden line will include bird tables, also €5.00, Window boxes for €10.00 and large flower pots for €15.00. All monies raised will be pumped back into the Men’s Shed Enterprise to buy materials, so get behind and support their efforts and better still have a fantastically decorated garden for the Spring! Orders must by in on Friday for collection on Tuesday for a range of tasty breads to include, brown bread, onion bread, sundried tomato and basil bread, white bread, fruit loaf, banana bread also fruit scones (6 per order) and apple and cinnamon slices (6 per order), Price only €2.00, yes folks only €2.00....Also if you have family or friends for Sunday lunch, or any special occasions like Communion or can order from a selection of homemade desserts.....only €10.00 for a tray that will serve 12 portions! Orders need to be in by Wednesday for collection on Friday. You won’t get that quality for those bargain prices anywhere else, so hurry get your orders in now!
