Senior Football-Dicksboro Senior footballers got off to a great start in the League with an impressive win over Mullinavat last Saturday. The match was held in Palmerstown under very good conditions.

The ‘Boro team were definitely the most dominant throughout the game and were worth their win. Scores for both teams were slow to come by in the first half with a halftime score of Dicksboro 0-4 Mullinavat 0-2. Both teams failed to capitalise on penalties awarded to them, ours coming in the first half and a great save from Shane Maher in the second half to stop Mullinavat’s penalty. Mullinavat did have another good goal chance during the second half but another save from Shane thwarted them. Final score, Dicksboro 0-11 Mullinavat 0-8. Panel: Shane Maher, DD Molloy, Ciarán Gough, Enda Malone, Eoin McCormack, Kevin Nolan, Philly Hogan, Cillian Starr, Paul O’Flynn, Marco Ruessman, Tom Manning, Derek O’Gorman, Ger O’Donoghue, Cillian Breathnach, P.
