GAA NEWS - There were mixed results for Clara teams in the last week. The minor hurlers had a good win against Graigue Ballycallan winning 2-12 to 1-13. U16 and Junior were unlucky last Friday evening loosing their games by close margins. To finish the week off the Junior B team had a very good start to the League with a win over Cloneen winning 1-11 to 0-11.
PILTOWN TICKETS - Tickets for the 2013 Hurlers Co-Op Draw are on sale now. Committee members will be around selling tickets over the next few weeks. If you wish to buy one you can contact any committee member, numbers are available onclara.kilkenny.gaa.ie.
UNDERAGE TRAINING - Training is back for underage teams (U-12 to U-6) for both Hurling and Camogie on Monday evenings from 7 to 8.15. New players are always welcome at any age level.
G4M+O - Training is back up and running on Friday nights from 8 to 9.30. New members are always welcome.
GAELIC FOR GIRLS - Is on every Thursday from 7 to 8pm in Clara GAA Grounds. This is for 8 to 13 year olds. It is a fun introduction to Ladies Football for the underage setup.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP - Any member who hasn’t yet paid their membership for 2013 can still do so by contacting the club registrar Pam Cummins on (087 - 9127725). All support very much appreciated and new members are always welcome.
DVD SET - DVD’s will be on sale this week for the Intermediate finals played in 2012/2013. The DVD’s will be sold as a set. The set includes: League Final, County Final, Leinster Final, All-Ireland semi-final and the All-Ireland Final. Please contact Trevor (085-1079791) to reserve your set. There are also Mugs for sale to commemorate the success of the last year. There are three mugs in the set,one for each Intermediate Final that was won, listing the names of the full panel for each final. CLARA NS - The Parents Association are holding their annual childrens sponsored walk in Jenkinstown Woods on Saturday, April 27 at 2pm. This is a great family fun day and a good opportunity for people to get together and have a nice walk and a picnic if you wish to bring one.

KILKENNY COMMUNITY & VOLUNTARY FORUM - The South East Regional Drugs task Force (SERDTF),Kilkenny Community & Voluntary Forum and Kilkenny Leader Partnership are jointly organising a community consulation Seminar on the subject of substance misuse. The seminar will be on the morning of Friday, April 19. The venue will be the Pembrooke Hotel, 11 Patrick Street, Kilkenny from 9.30am to 1.30pm. A light lunch will be served. All community voluntary interests and groups are invited to attend. Places can be booked at 051 841144.
YOUTH SOCCER - A meeting will take place next Wednesday night April 17 in Castlewarren Hall at 8pm with the view of setting up a Youth Soccer Team for the local area. Anyone interested are more than welcome to attend this meeting.
OSSORY PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES - Pilgrimage led by Bishop Freeman SAC will take place from May 22 to May 27. Bookings may be made by contacting Eleanor at Glenmore@ossory.ie or 051-880414 weekdays except Wednesday from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
