piltown Community Centre - A small number of allotments have become available & anybody wishing to apply for one should pick up an application form from John Burke at the Community Centre.
Anybody interested in taking up Indoor Bowls should call into the Community Centre. Coaching & competitions are being organised.
All are welcome to Bingo every Wednesday night where up to €1,500 is paid out in prize money. Proceeds from the bingo books go to the upkeep of the centre.
daffodil day collection - The Irish Cancer Society would like to thank all who contributed to the Daffodil Day Collection. Despite the poor weather conditions €750 was raised in Piltown. The Irish Cancer Society would also like to thank the owners of Centra in Piltown for allowing them to hold the collection at the store.

Piltown Children’s Basketball CluB - Basketball training takes place every Friday evening in the Community Centre for Under 10’s, Under 12 Girls and Under 14 Boys. Under 10 training for both boys & girls takes place from 6-7pm. Under 12 Girls training takes place from 7-8pm & Under 14 Boys training takes place from 8-9pm. €2 per week.

WONDERFUL DAY FOR UNDER-12 CAMOGIE - There was even some respite in the cold weather as Piltown Under-12 Camogie players took part in the ‘Caman To Corker’ exhibition games held in of all places, the wonderful Croke Park on Saturday. The girls played three games on the hallowed turf of Croke Park against Faughs (Dublin), Lough Lene Gaels (Westmeath) & St. Brigids (Laois). They were also treated to a tour of Croke park & the museum followed by a trip to the Croke Park Shop. To cap a memorable day for the girls there was a stop over at Supermacs in Carlow on the way home.
