A Charity Cycle will be held on this Sunday June 30th iin aid of the Gortnahoe Playground and National Breast Cancer Research in Gortnahoe. There are 3 routes: 15K for the Family departing Gortnahoe at 12.30pm 48K for a challenge departing Gortnahoe at 11.30am and 100K for all Cycling Enthusiasts departing Gortnahoe at 9.30am. This is the second GG Challenge. We have planned new routes and it is hoped there will be a large turn out. Come along and be part of the craic. You can register on the day. Another request is being sent out to anyone who would like to help at the preparation of the G.A.A. lotto draw in Gortnahoe Hall on Thursday nights. If a few more people got involved it could mean as little as one hour every six weeks. As all parents and players are aware this is a great source of funding for all the different age groups and teams in the club. It would be much appreaciated and of benefit to all.
The Good Sheppard annual Mass will be held this Friday June 28th at 7.30pm.
For Gortnahoe School. Donations to the once-off appeal are necessary and most welcome,especially this week before the start of the holidays. Please be generous and appreciative of the needs of the school.
The finals of the Brendan Teehan Memorial will be on this Saturday June 29th, times to be confirmed. The sponsorship of the jersies for the U.16 teams by Copymoore, Urlingford is very much appreciated and the club wishes to thank them most sincerely for their generousity.
Takes place every Wednesday in Glengoole Church and every Thursday in Gortnahoe Church from 10am to 9pm. All are welcome.
Is also part of the family Fun Day this Sunday 30th of June. All those who may prefer to walk than cycle are invited to take part in a 10K walk from Gortnahoe to Ballysloe and return. Commencing at 1pm in Gortnahoe outside Community Centre. Ring Liam for further details at 086-2449384. The day will also provide Face Painting, Tattoo, Balloon Art, and Music. Certificate on completion and Medal. The Flying Nun will open the event.
