UNDER 14 HURLING LEAGUE FINAL - The Under 14 League Hurling Final between Mooncoin and Lisdowney was held last Wednesday week, 8th August 2012, in Bennettsbridge. The team lined out as Liam Dunphy, David Fitzpatrick, Kevin O’Sullivan, Ewan Hills, Mark Fitzpatrick, Stephen Delaney, Laurence Campion, David O’Carroll, James Phelan, Gary O’Sullivan, Brian Kavanagh 2:07, Niall Brennan 0:01, Jack McGree, Cathal Jordan and Ben Tallis. The backs played exceptionally well and Kevin O’Sullivan could be considered man of the match. Brian Kavanagh scored all but one of Lisdowney’s scores with Niall Brennan making up the balance. At half time, Lisdowney were up 1:05 to 0:05. Lisdowney had two lucky goals and made a few good saves, this was probably the difference between the two teams.
