Joining up - The Gortnahoe Glengoole GAA club have joined forces with their neighbours/friends and rivals from the Emeralds GAA Club in Urlingford for a unique fundraising event. Both clubs will hold a White Collar Boxing night which will take place on Saturday the 2nd of March in the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny.
This promises to be be a hugely entertaining night and is an event not to be missed so make sure and put this date in your diary. Buses will be running to and from the event from both parishes on the night. Tickets will be priced at €20 and this will include the after show party. Bereavement - The death occurred of James Stokes, Graigaman on Monday December 31st 2012 at his residence, James will be sadly missed by his wife Joan,sons Edward,John and James,brothers Tom and John,sister Helen,sisters-in-law,nephews,nieces,relatives,neighbours and friends. James was reposing at his home on Monday and Tuesday. Removal took place on Wednesday for Requim Mass in Ss.Patrick and Oliver Church,Glengoole. Burial took place in adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace.
Juvenile G.A.A Club - The above will hold their A.G.M. on Friday 18th January in the Clubrooms. All parents are requested to represent their child at this meeting. All positions in the club or on the committee will be appointed on the night from those who volunteer. Anyone interested in becoming a referee, there is a course on 13th,18th 20th and 25th February in the Sarsfield Centre.
