THE GATHERING - As part of our efforts for the Gathering in 2013 we are looking for old photos, family 1st Holy Communion, Confirmation etc, anything to do with the Parish of Graine and Urlingford. If you do not wish for these photos to leave your home a member of the organizing committee will call to your home and copy them or you can email us a copy of them with names and details. Photos tell such a wonderful story and it would be an excellent contribution in piecing some of our together, especially for the young generation who would have little knowledge of what Parish or the people were like back then. We would also be grateful if anyone knows of the whereabouts of Fr Moran’s films? If anyone has them we can have them restored and copied and returned to you. Contact Joan Pearson 089 4538122, firstname.lastname@example.org or Norah Hickey 089 4507891, email@example.com.

PRAYER FOR THE NEW YEAR - As we begin the new year, we wonder what it holds for us. Let us put our hand in the hand of Christ, our brother, that will be better than a light, and safer than a known way. Lord, give us the kind of faith that will enable us to live out joyfully the mystery of our fragile human condition, which sees us suspended between earth and heaven, between time and eternity, between nothingness and infinity. May the Lord keep our feet from stumbling and our hearts from straying. May he turn darkness into light before us, and rough places into level ground. And may the Lord guard our coming and going now and forever. Amen.
