There were a number of positional switch on the team which lined out as follows: 1-Eoin Walsh, 2-Ciaran Bergin, 3-Niall Kenny, 4-Brian O’Carroll, 5-Eoin Lyons, 6-Sean Phelan, 7-Kevin Sweeney, 8-Laurence O’Carroll, 9-Michael Kenny(2), 10-Jamie Bergin(2), 11-George Healy, 12-Aaron Fogarty(1-05,5F), 13-Edward Kenny, 14-Pat O’Carroll, 15-Jack Dunphy, Subs 17-Ciaran O’Carroll (1-0), 18-Paul Coss, 19-Conor O’Carroll, 20-Willie Kenny, 21 Peter O’Sullivan. The club would like to thank the players and the management team of PJ Kenny, Niall Grogan and Jim Dunne for their hard work and dedication.

BORD NA nOG AGM - The Lisdowney Bord na nOg AGM will take place this Friday, 11th January 2013 at 8.30 pm in Lisdowney GAA Club. All are welcome and new people are encouraged to attend. LISDOWNEY GAA MEMBERSHIP - Membership is due for renewal for the coming year. Players’ membership is €70, ordinary membership is €50, children are €20 per child with family membership only €100 for two adults and all children. At least one parent of each child is asked to please join the club, partly for insurance purposes, but also as the children get huge a amount of enjoyment playing with the club, and funding of club activities is always needed. It is essential too that all those who help out with training sessions in any shape or form become members. Garda vetting forms are also available from the club secretary or any member of the committee.

LISDOWNEY GAA AND CAMOGIE CLUB LOTTO - The numbers drawn in the Lisdowney GAA and Camogie Club Lotto on Wednesday, 2nd January 2013, were 5, 16, 20 and 22. There was no winner. Match three winners were Amy Dunphy and Mary Brennan (x2).Annual club lotto tickets are currently on sale. The annual ticket for €100 enters you into 52 weekly draws. Weekly tickets are just €2 and are available from Hogans’, McGraths’, Bradleys’ Butchers and the Credit Union in Ballyragget, O’Carroll’s Pharmacy and Micheal Bergin’s in Freshford, Mackeys’ in Gathbawn, Carmel’s in Lisdowney and from any committee member.

LISDOWNEY BADMINTON CLUB - Badminton for adults continues each Monday night at 8pm in Lisdowney Community Centre.

JUVENILE BADMINTON - Badminton for eight year olds and up has started in Lisdowney Community Centre on Friday nights from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm. The club has some spare rackets for those who don’t have access to one. Badminton is an energetic sport which children should enjoy. All are welcome.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION - An Operation Transformation walk will take place on Saturday morning, 19thJanuary 2013, at 11 am in Castlecomer Discovery Park. There will be a walk leader to guide the walk so no prior experience is necessary. All are welcome.

NIGHT CLASSES - Night classes will commence shortly at Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown. Enrolment will take place next Monday, 14th January 2013, between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm in the school. All welcome. Classes are available in Welding Arc (Tuesdays for nine weeks, €100 for course); Welding Tig Mig (Thursdays for 10 weeks, €120 for course); Crafts – card and gift making (Tuesdays for six weeks, €90 for course); Beginners Computers (Thursdays for eight weeks, €85 for course); Yoga (Thursdays for eight weeks €85 for course); Pilates (Tuesdays for eight weeks,€70 for course); Computerised accounts (Tuesdays for eight weeks, €80 for course); Occupational First Aid (Tuesdays for eight weeks, €85 for course); Gardening – plan your garden (Tuesdays for eight weeks, €85 for course); and Cake Decoration (Tuesdays for four weeks, €50 for course).
