EucharistIC Congress - Next Sunday sees the opening of the Eucharist Congress in Dublin. During the week each parish in the country is urged to have some Eucharistic devotion which will be in support of the Congress. For this parish..Johnstown..it is planned to hold a public procession of Corpus Christi. The procession will take place at the end of the 11.00 Mass in Johnstown next Sunday and will follow the traditional route to the Square returning to the Church for Benediction. It is hoped the First Holy Communion and Confirmation children will walk in front of the Blessed Sacrament, and that the traditional decorations outside the houses on the route will be in place. The procession is meant to be a public expression of reverence and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament by the parish of Johnstown.
