Old Mobile Phones Needed - Queen of the Universe N.S. is collecting old mobile phones. Irish Autism Action and Children’s Health & Safety Educator (CHASE) have teamed up to raise awareness of anti-social behaviour and bullying. Queen of the Universe NS has registered its support for this important campaign. Most of us have old mobile phone lying at the bottom of that drawer, so please take a look, then send them in to Queen of the Universe N.S. with your child and they can put the old phones into the collection box located outside the office or leave at reception. Bagenalstown/Borris/Ballywilliam Railway - The last train on this line was 50 years ago this year. In conjunction with BEAM Bagenalstown and Borris Tidy Towns Fr. Action Stations - Well done to the members of the Scout Section of the 1st Bagenalstown Baden Powell Scout Troop who took part in an exciting military style adventure at the week-end. All concerned thoroughly enjoyed themselves with some impressive marksmanship on display. The Scout Section would like to thank everybody who made the event possible, particularly the Leaders, Senior Scouts and McEvoy Coaches.

Mater Foundation - Sudden Adult Death Syndrome fundraising night was held in the Hunter’s Rest, Fenagh, on February 16.
The organisers would like to thank the entertainers including Richie Kavanagh, Country Cousins, The Exiles, Michael and Colette Lakes, Joe Wall and Eddie Sinnott, all of whom gave their services free.
Thanks also to the sponsors of spot prizes, ticket sellers, all who bought tickets and everybody who turned up on the night. Thanks to Joe and Mary for the use of the lounge and refreshments, and to Caroline in Bagenalstown Office Services for her help. The amount raised was €2,187 and the presentation of a cheque to a representative from the Mater Foundation took place on Mon. March 11 at 8.30pm.
