The mobile contact for the coordinator is 086 0718888. So if you see a car or van acting suspiciously in the Parish, then contact the above mobile number with as much detail as possible. This info may include location, car registration, colour make and number of passengers. We can then check out this vehicle with the Garda and alert members if this car is of interest to the Gardai. In addition one may contact the Gardai in Urlingford 056 8831133 or mobile 086 8580628, Castlecomer Station 056 4440650 or Kilkenny 056 7775000 which is open all day and night. Please note, if at all possible try and get registration number of suspicious vehicles rambling around our parish. This makes our response time much faster and a quicker response from the Gardai. In addition make sure to lock up all premises when leaving your base.


St Luke’s General Hospital is holding its annual Remembrance Mass at Duiske Abbey Church on Tuesday, October 15 at 7.30pm. The Mass gives all of us an opportunity to remember our patients who have died. Everyone is welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served in the Parish Hall after Mass.


Of firewood and household items (in aid of Kilcooley Union of Parishes) in St Mary’s Hall, Johnstown on Sunday, October 13. Viewing fro 1pm, auction at 3pm. Many auction lots of firewood and household items. Also cake sale, teas and raffle.


First and third Friday of each month at 2.30-5.30pm.


Please contact Fr Maher if you have a relative or neighbour sick at home or in hospital and would like to be visited or added to the First Friday calls.
