Inter-cultural event in Newpark Close

AN Inter-Cultural Event involving an art exhibition, providing entertainment from various dance groups from different cultural backgrounds took place in the Newpark Close Family Resource Centre recently.

AN Inter-Cultural Event involving an art exhibition, providing entertainment from various dance groups from different cultural backgrounds took place in the Newpark Close Family Resource Centre recently.

Eileen Curran M’Bila, who is a member of the Kilkenny Integration Forum, approached Newpark Close Family Resource Centre and they worked in partnership with the centre to organise an Inter-Cultural Event. The goal of the event was to raise inter-cultural awareness and facilitate good community relations and to encourage social inclusion throughout the immigrant population in the community.

It is hoped that through inter cultural events the Newpark Close Family Resource Centre can assist diverse communities to realise their own potential.
