CAMOGIE FUNDRAISER - Muine Bheag Camogie club held their 2nd annual All Ireland Camogie Ticket Fundraiser in the Manor House recently. There was a great turnout and the committee would like to thank everyone who helped out on the night and all the children who sold tickets. FITKIDS - Come join a Fitkids active fun class and keep kids active while making friends and having fun. The class is suitable for 3-6 year olds and started on Wednesday, September 19, in the McGrath Hall from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. The programmes are age appropriate and are a great foundation for any sport, teaching children the fundamentals of exercise - strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, agility and co-ordination in a safe and fun environment. Activities include: tumbling circuits, using Fitkids specialised equipment, gymnastic skills, ball skills, music dance and rhythmic activities, active agility games and much more. BALLINKILLEN HURLING CLUB - Ballinkillen Senior hurlers have qualified for the Carlow Senior HurlingChampionship Semi Final for the first time in a number of years.The game will take place against Erins Own on Sunday, Oct. 7. The club is organising a clothes collection on Sat. Oct. 13 in the club grounds. All clean clothes welcome.
BAGENALSTOWN COMMUNITY CABLEVISION - The system will continue to operate regardless of the RTE change on Oct. 24. 2012. Some changes will be necessary to facilitate the changeover. These will be introduced before the October 24 deadline and will require retuning television sets to receive programmes.
