Monthly Table Quiz Returns - The first table quiz of the new season will be held at 9.00pm on Monday, 8th October in the Fox’s Den. It will be aid of Kilmacow Youth Club. The cost per table of four is €20 and all support is welcome.
The Youth Club is urgently looking for male leaders. Any one interested in helping out should contact the committee of the Youth Club which meets in the Community Centre in Kilmacow from 8.00pm to 10.00pm every second Friday night.
South Kilkenny Historical Society - South Kilkenny Historical Society will host a lecture by Pádraig Laffan entitled ‘From Morse Code to Twitter’ at 8.00pm on Thursday, 27th September in the Parish Hall, Mullinavat. This lecture will cover the electronic revolution which Mr. Laffan witnessed during his 40 years working in the outside broadcasting unit of RTE. Mr. Laffan is actively involved in the Federation of Local History Societies. Admission is €5 for non-members.
Drugs Awareness Week - Kilkenny Drug Awareness Committee will host a Community awareness Night at 7.00pm on Thursday 4th October in the Parish Hall, Mooncoin. As this event is being organised in association with Kilkenny Drugs Awareness Week there is an open invitation to all communities in South Kilkenny to attend.
Speakers will include David Grey, Community Outreach Worker, John Leahy, HSE Carlow/Kilkenny, John Taffe, Pastoral Response to Drug Use and representatives from An Garda Siochána and from Mooncoin Parish Drug Awareness Parish Programme.
The Saturday Club - The Saturday Club for children aged 3 years to 12 years will recommence in the Community Centre Kilmacow from 10.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday, 29th September.
The cost per child is €10. The club organises fun filled activities for boys and girls.
St Vincent de Paul collection - St Vincent de Paul will hold a collection next weekend, 29th and 30th September. All support greatly appreciated.
Kilmacow Lotto - The winning numbers in last week’s lotto were 3, 8, 19 and 24. There were three Match 3 winners. The Jackpot for next Thursday night is €12,600.
