TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES - Kilkenny County Council has announced that in accordance with the provisions of Section 38 of the Road traffic act 1994 they are giving notice of their intention to introduce a one way system at the Convent Lane and Brays Lane area of the Town.Details of the proposed Traffic Management Scheme can be inspected at the County Council offices at Thomastown which are situated at Ladywell St. or at the Library in Graignamanagh. Representations relating to the proposed workscan be made in writing to Kilkenny County Council at the County Hall, John St. Kilkenny before 12 noon on Wednesday 5th December.

LOTTO - The numbers drawn in last week’s draw were 6,7,9,and 30. There was no winner of the €10,000 jackpot.Winers of the consolation cash prizes were, Mary O’Dwyer, Mary Barry, Martin Cushen, Evelyn Dunne and Fiddle.Winners of the Christmas voucher were Chrissie Hoare, Danny Kelly, Ann Kelly and Eileen Bolger.

LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB - The annual general meeting of the Barrow Gaels Ladies football Club will be held at the G.A.A. headquartwers at Harristown Thursday 6th December at 7.30 pm. Hopefully a big crowd will attend at the fledgling clubs get together as they plan for the future.

ROWING CLUB - The A.G.M. of the Rowing Club will be held at the Boat House on Thursday 13th December at 8pm. All members are requested to attend.
