KILKENNY BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT - ‘A time to meet others bereaved by suicide’. KBS will also hold ‘A Healing Group’ for people who have been b bereaved by suicide for at least six months. This group will meet for 8 weeks in a row. This year the meeting will take place in Villa Maria commencing on Tuesday, February 19 at 8pm and will continue on the following Tuesday nights. EMERALDS CAMOGIE CLUB - Registration for Emeralds Camogie Club will take place on Saturday, February 16 from 2 to 4pm in the Old School, Urlingford. Primary School Children E10; Secondary School E15; Third Level and Adult players E25 and Non playing members E20.
DIFIBRILLATOR GROUP - Meeting in the Crèche, Urlingford today (Wednesday) at 8.30pm. All clubs in the parish and members certified to use the defibrillator should attend. New members welcome.
COMMUNITY ALERT - A large crowd attended a very important meeting last Tuesday night. Inspector Connolly from Kilkenny and Sgt Wilkinson attended and they gave an overview of crime figures for our parish. Liam Kelly from Muintir na Tire gave a detailed account of a texting service available to communities to combat crime. If a parishioner notices a car or people acting suspiciously in their area they can contact the local co-ordinator who in turn will alert garda head office in our district. Local Committee members will call to householders in the coming days to explain the system. Householders can join this system by paying E10 and giving their mobile number.
