Breakfast at the Community Centre - The Tullaroan hurling club will will host a full Irish breakfast on Sunday 17th February from 9am to 12noon. As this is a new fundraiser for the club your support would be very much appreciated.
Whist Drive - A whist drive will be held in the Community Centre on Wednesday 13th February commencing at 8.45pm. Proceeds will go to the C.B.S. Lourdes invalid fund.
Hurling - The Tullaroan senior, junior and U21 hurling teams will resume training this Friday.
Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes:
This year the pilgrimage takes place from 22nd to 27th May. Booking froms are available from Glenmore Paraish Office on 056880414. Opening hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday from 10.30am to 2.30.
Recently Deceased - The death took place in Dublin last week of Bridget Joyce, formerly Brabstown, Tullaroan. Bridget worked with Dr. Maloney at Tullaroan and Thomastown, when the family moved to Dublin many years ago Bridget moved with them where she spent the rest of her life. For the past few years she lived in the nursing home in Clonaskea, Dublin where she passed away peacefully. Bridget had celebrated her 100 birthday last October.
On Friday last her Requiem Mass was celebrated at the Church of The Assumption, Tullaroan by Rev. Maloney and Rev. P. Guilfoyle, P.P. Tullaroan. Her remains were them removed to the local cemetery for burial.
Bridget is survived by her nieces, nephews the Maloney family and friends.
Scripture Reflection for Lent - Beginning on 17th February, the first Sunday of Lent and continuing each Sunday of Lent, parishioners are invited to gather in The Church of The Assumption from 6.30pm to reflect on the scripture readings for Lent. Healing Group - Kilkenny Bereavement Support will hold “A Healing Group” for people who have been bereaved by suicide for at least six months. This group will meet for 6 weeks in a row. This year the meetings will take place in Villa Maria, Talbot’s Inch, Kilkenny commencing on Tuesday 19th February at 8.00pm and will continue on the following Tuesday nights.
The aims of the group are to help the participants to explore their loss in a safe environment, to help them feel comfortable in understanding their grief which may involve isolation, stigma, guilt or blame.
It will also provide opportunities to meet and share with others who have had similar experiences, to discuss coping strategies, to identify feelings and to remember the deceased.

Tullaroan Active Retirement Association - The group will meet on Wednesday 13th February at 2pm in the Community Centre. New members are always welcome.

Mt. Brandon Charity Walk - A group will travel to Dingle, Co Kerry on 23rd March and their aim will be to climb Mt. Brandon in order to raise funds for the Irish Pilgrimage Trust.
